It doesn't prevent the hot flashes but it does "cool" them down and perhaps shorten the duration. It does make me feel that I am doing something about them so I am not powerless.

Cool Flash works! My wife has suffered with hot flashes since being treated with chemotherapy early last year. She asked several doctors for suggestions, but they didn't seem to have any effective solutions. It's easy to use: When you feel a hot flash coming on, apply a small amount of ointment behind your neck, across the upper chest area, behind your ears or on your wrists or both.
