Regarding concerns about the difference in ingredients from the 28-day Estroven,this information is from the Estroven website:
"Estroven® Maximum Strength is also available in a two (2) caplet per day formula. This formula is the same but the caplets are smaller. These are only available in warehouse clubs."
I prefer this formula because I can take a lower dose (1) per day or the higher dose (2) per day if needed.

Mostly because I was in total denial that I could EVEN BE in menopause at "only 49", (ha ha!), I tried to deal with having hourly hot flashes for 4 miserable months before I finally decided enough was enough! I didn't like the idea of prescription HRT, so I wanted an over the counter natural remedy. I had read a ton of reviews online first, and decided to give Estroven Maximum Strength (1 daily, 28 day supply) a try.
It's true that it does take time to kick in and work, so you definitely need to be patient with it! For me, improvement was gradual, and I wasn't so sure it was even having any effect until my co-worker pointed out that I wasn't "sweater on, sweater off" with the hot flashes a hundred times a day at work any more. :) She was right. That would have been 6-7 weeks after taking Estroven Max Strength, and I'd say at that point, my 24-7 "solar flares" were reduced by 75%.
I am so happy to tell you that I have NOT had one single hot flash since about 2 1/2 to 3 months into taking Estroven Max Strenth! No more disrupted sleep with waking up five times a night throwing my covers off and on because of hot and cold night sweats... and no more complaining about the temperature in the office at work. :) I don't know what I would do without it! **Just a tip-- I bought the "store brand max strength" once only because Estroven Max was sold out at my pharmacy... the formulary was not the same, and after a week, I noticed symptoms coming back! Only the real deal brand for me now!**

I started using it 2 years ago, and it works for me, all the nasty symptoms are gone completely. One time I stopped using for three weeks, and the night sweats, mood swigs. etc. came back with revenge! I resumed taking the Max. Strength Estroven, but for some reason it took really long time (a few months!) before the symptoms were gone again. I was happy using it, but now I started looking for something different. This supplement contains 400 mcg of folate, which recently was linked to increase incidence of the breast and other types of cancers: "Folate Supplementation Linked to Increased Cancer Incidence and Mortality" ([...]);
"Treatment With Folic Acid, Vitamin B12 Associated With Increased Risk of Cancer, Death" - [...]
Since 1998 the United States, have implemented mandatory folic acid fortification of flour and grain products, I wonder if we might actually overdose by taking an additional amount of folate with this supplement.
In addition, the results of recently completed Swedish study, which spanned 10 years and involved 35,329 women with an average age of about 61 years, are also alarming:
"We observed a 19% increased risk of breast cancer associated with multivitamin use after adjustment for other breast cancer risk factors," write the authors, led by Susanna Larsson, PhD, and colleagues from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm.
"High doses of folic acid from supplements or fortified foods are of concern because synthetic folic acid is more bioavailable than folate from natural food sources and, hence, potentially more potent in promoting cancer growth," they write.
Not sure yet, what would be a safer bet, but probably look for something without a folate.

Amazon is the only place where I can obtain Estroven Maximum Strength - 98 Caplets at such a reasonable price anywhere. For me this product is great and it works for me. As a woman going through the tail end of menopause, I got tired of taking RX drugs. I have tried every that is OTC. I take a multivitamin, Estroven Maximum Strength - 2 capsules, Black Cohosh - 2 capsules and St. Johns Wort - 2 capsules in the morning and at nighttime. This combination is a winner for me but every woman's body is different and what works for me may not work for someone else.

Estroven Maximum Strength is working for me, a 51 year old in the middle of menopause. After taking it for 3 weeks, I have not had one hot flash. I was having them all night and not sleeping because I was hot and then cold, soaking wet with sweat and then cold again. I was miserable. It's also helping with a few other problems too personal to mention. My doctor did not recommend trying this, she basically said it was a waste of time. But I'm sorry to say that she was wrong in my case. I used the coupon on line and ordered it the first time for $14.97, but on my 2nd order, I was glad to pay the whole price. Way better than taking hormones at this time.
