These two words are what come to mind when I think about this Chillow Cool Comfort pillow I recently purchased. I've tried wiping it off with cleaner, Clorox wipes and then finally spraying it with perfume...NOTHING WORKED....Also once the coolness dies on the area your laying on you have to constantly rotate it to keep it cool if not you'll be sweating big time!!

4 out of 5 stars I like it!   August 28, 2010

This has been a miserable, hot summer, and I haven't been sleeping well. I heard about the chillow and decided to try it. Setting it up was messier than I expected, but all I spilled was water, so no biggy. I would suggest putting in more water than they recommend, however, because so much will spill out when you get rid of the "bubble."

Anyway, I've been sleeping with it for a couple of months now, and it does help. I don't use a pillow, so I put my face directly on the pillowcased chillow. If I have trouble going to sleep, I have to move either my face or the chillow a few times, because once a section warms up, it really warms up. But since the rest stays cool, there's always a spot somewhere that's nice and cool. Also, I've found that the parts that have warmed up will cool down during the night in case I need to cool my face some more in the wee hours. On really hot nights it can help to put it in the fridge for a few minutes before bed. Only real problem is finding a place to let it "recharge" during the day because one of my cats likes to lie on it and suck all the coolness out.

This device is the best thing since sliced bread. It stays cool all night and I sleep great!

It is cool when you lie down at first but then it turns to your own body temperature. No help for me in the middle of the night!!

I can't believe they are still selling these things! I felt like a real sucker after buying one. I tried it as directed and what a joke. The directions say that when the spot becomes warm to move your head. DUH! Same thing you'd do with a regular pillow, only a regular pillow doesn't smell funny or feel crinkly-plastic. Buy a small fan and stick a bowl of ice cubes in front of it. It makes more sense then this thing.
